How To Use Electric Toothbrush

Jun 17, 2025

The correct use of an electric toothbrush requires mastering the 45 degree angle cleaning of the gingival sulcus, gently brushing in four zones, and allowing high-frequency vibration to automatically complete deep cleaning. No need to press hard, combined with the brush head maintenance method that changes every March, it can not only extend the lifespan of the machine, but also avoid enamel wear, allowing sensitive gums to enjoy the oral health revolution brought by technology with peace of mind.

    Preparation before use
    Brush head and battery check
When installing the brush head, it is necessary to ensure that the direction of the bristles is consistent with the switch button and that they are firmly inserted in place.
When using it for the first time or not using it for a long time, it is necessary to fully charge it in advance to avoid power outages that may affect the experience.
Toothpaste dosage and brush head wetting
The amount of toothpaste used is the size of a pea (about half of an ordinary toothbrush) to avoid too much foam affecting cleaning.
For first-time users or those with sensitive gums, it is recommended to soak the brush head in warm water (below 40 ℃) for a few seconds to soften the bristles.

   Correct brushing steps
   Placement and startup
Place the brush head into the mouth before turning it on to avoid splashing toothpaste. Recommend starting from the front teeth or habitual area.
Angle and zone cleaning
45 degree tilt: Keep the bristles at a 45 degree angle to the gum line and thoroughly clean the plaque in the gingival sulcus (key area).
Four quadrant zoning: Divide the oral cavity into four zones: upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right. Brush each zone for 30 seconds, with a total duration controlled at 2 minutes.
   Movement and force control
Gentle movement: No need to press hard, let the electric toothbrush vibrate and clean automatically, just slowly move your hands (covering 2-3 teeth each time).
Inner and outer sides and occlusal surface: The outer side and occlusal surface can move horizontally, and it is recommended to clean the inner side by standing the brush head upright.
Changing zones and cleaning tongue coating
Open your mouth slightly and turn the brush head to avoid stirring and poking your gums in the mouth when changing areas.
After brushing teeth, gently clean the surface of the tongue with a brush back or specialized tongue coating brush to reduce bacteria and breath.

  Cleaning and maintenance after use
  Shutdown and cleaning
Turn off the toothbrush after brushing to avoid toothpaste dripping.
After rinsing the brush head, shake off the water and dry the handle to prevent water leakage and damage to the motor.
  Storage and maintenance
Place the brush head facing upwards in a dry and ventilated place to avoid bacterial growth in damp environments.
Replace the brush head every 3 months. If the bristles are deformed or discolored, they should be replaced in advance.
